There are some famous stanzas of Natya Shastra of Bharat Muni. Several Scholars have thrown light on it. They narrate the greatness of Natya Shastra.

Shri Bharat Muni composed the Natya Shastra. It is the oldest treatise on dramaturgy and the kindred arts. It claims as divine origin and is regarded as NATYA-VEDA e.g. NATYAM PANCHAMO VEDAH.

Natya Shastra is considered as the Fifth Veda. There are four Vedas, VIZ. RIG, YAJUR SAMA & Atharva, veda. Then Natya Shastra was also considered as a Veda. Because it entertained Gods and sages.
